“Space exists within us as imagination, thought and sensation and outside of us in terms of distance.”

That darkness that we experience when we close our eyes represents for him the most primal space. For Antony Gormley (London, 1950) the human body is that first place that each person happens to inhabit, and the skin is the envelope containing it. His art explores the possibilities that his own body offers to him to experience the outside world. An art perceived by the audience through the five senses that at the same time wants to transcend the senses and connect with the spiritual...Leer más

JULY 2021 - MOLL ARCHITECTS IN PARTNERSHIP WITH WSP DESIGN STUDIO HAVE DEVELOPED A CONCEPT DESIGN FOR A NET ZERO CARBON HOTEL IN VALENCIA, SPAIN.

Hotel Saguntum is a contemporary building inserted within the historic fabric of the city of Valencia. It has been designed as a big house where guests will share their home during a few days. The central atrium is a fresh cave-like environment lit from above that acts as an attraction space for both social interaction and environmental performance. It creates chances for people to encounter and exchange opinions, and it also brings controlled light down to the lobby and activates the natural ventilation strategy in the building.

It is a hot and sunny morning towards the end of summer. I slowly walk up the Bulevar Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra when suddenly the Jumex Museum appears on my right, occupying a triangular plot in between the main avenue and an old railway. I imagine the old trains transporting the barley grains to the beer factory, located a little bit further west, where they produce Modelo, Corona and other Mexican beers... Leer Más
